About Peertivity

Peertivity was founded on the belief that mentorship—not just tutoring—is the key to transforming school culture. Developed from over two decades of hands-on educational leadership, Peertivity draws from the work of Dr. Keith Jones, whose AIM model—Appreciate, Investigate, Motivate—has shaped thousands of student lives across Texas and beyond.

This isn’t theory. It’s a field-tested framework that began with the Peers for Positive Change (PPC) program in 2004 and matured into PACE (Peers Appreciating Community Education), a for-credit leadership and mentoring course for high school upperclassmen. At its heart, Peertivity continues that mission—training students to lead with empathy, curiosity, and courage, and building school environments where trust becomes the norm, not the exception.

How We're Different

Most academic support programs focus on test scores, worksheets, or behavior management. We focus on people. Peertivity doesn’t just help students catch up—it helps them step up. While companies like Sylvan or Kumon are built around content delivery, Peertivity is built around human connection, emotional growth, and peer accountability.

Our mentors aren’t imported from outside—they’re often students within the same school who have earned trust and responsibility through the AIM model. Others are alumni and community leaders trained in servant leadership, not sales scripts. This creates a network of guidance that feels real, local, and lasting.

We don’t manage students—we engage them. We don’t intervene from above—we empower from within. Peertivity shifts the culture, not just the calendar. That’s the difference.
