FAQs

Is Peertivity a tutoring service?

No. Peertivity focuses on mentorship, not tutoring. We help students build confidence, leadership, critical thinking, and personal responsibility—skills that support both academic and life success.

What makes Peertivity different from other mentoring programs?

Peertivity is guided by the AIM framework (Appreciate, Investigate, Motivate) and built on the principle of service leadership. We don't offer one-size-fits-all solutions—we build trust and growth through real relationships.

Who are the mentors?

Mentors are trained facilitators who understand the communities they serve. Some are educators, others are community leaders, and many are former students themselves.

How do schools get involved?

Districts or individual campuses can reach out to schedule an intro call. We co-design the implementation to fit the specific needs of your school culture.

Is there a cost to participate?

Our model is designed to be sustainable and scalable. We’ll work with your campus or district to explore the best funding and partnership structure for your needs.

What ages or grade levels is Peertivity designed for?

While adaptable, Peertivity was designed for use at a high school level.

How do you measure success?

We look at engagement, leadership development, student agency, and community trust—not just test scores. Real success is seen in school climate shifts and student voice.

Can parents be involved?

Absolutely. Peertivity encourages collaboration between students, families, and educators. We believe student success is a shared effort.

What does AIM stand for?

AIM = Appreciate, Investigate, Motivate. It’s our guiding practice for mentorship and trust-building, used in every interaction.
